ENVIS
Centre on Environmental Biotechnology
in
The University of Kalyani, Nadia, is funded
by the Ministry of Environmental & Forest, Government of India
is meeting the task of disseminating information on various
Environment related subject area. But with the emergence of
the new field viz., 'Environmental Biotechnology' which plays
a paramount role in environmental management has not been
covered in the network. |
|
|
With
the emphasis on the management of natural
resources and abatement of pollution as well
as hazardous waste management, it is
therefore proposed to set up an ENVIS Centre
on ‘Environmental Biotechnology’. Major
emphasis of databank will focus on
‘Pollutant Biodegradation’ and its
allied aspect. This Centre also included in
SDNP
network. |
