The Achievments:
= We established links with different national & international research institutes related to environmental biotechnology.
= We published Ten newsletters and Ten abstract volumes.
= The design of our web site www.kuenbiotech.org has been modified by adding hyperlinks for easier access to different web sites .
= We responded to various queries (about 3500) till date.
= Identification of information/data gaps in the web site was carried out and suitable corrective action was undertaken to fill these gaps, namely:
*more Indian journals were added to the database;
*more search criteria were introduced;
* navigation in the web site was made more user friendly.
= Emphasis is being given in creating a database on items of news related to Environmental Biotechnology in the ENVIS Newsletter from the 4th volume onwards.
= At present we have a collection of more than 4500 abstracts on Environmental Biotechnology .
= We have established linkages with Government, academic, non-governmental organizations and with all the ENVIS Centres in India.
= We have now more linkages with information sources and are increasing the information content of our web site and our newsletters.
= We always supply information on the received queries to individuals, students, scientific institutions, research scientists, Central and State government Departments & Organizations. We are also sending abstracts, research papers and reports as newsletters to different organizations by email, by post or in person.
= We are honoured that from the MoEF, the honourable director (EI) Dr. D. Bandyopadhyay visited our node in April, 2005. We tried to follow his valuable suggestions in every step.
